Body contouring marketing
Body contouring is the hardest treatment to sell with ads. Leads cost the most, fewer of them buy, and the ones who buy take longer to decide. So the work is getting better consults, following up with people who didn't buy, and pricing the treatment in a way they can say yes to. We run the Meta and Google ads and build that follow-up in GoHighLevel.
Across the clinics our team measured
Median cost per new body contouring patient on Meta, vs $160 across all treatments
Body contouring consults that closed, the lowest of any treatment in our data
Unsold consults that bought within 30 days once follow-up was in place (42 clinics)
The problem
Most clinics market CoolSculpting, Emsculpt or RF lipo the same way they market Botox: an offer, a lead form, a call. That works for a $390 visit. It breaks for a $2,400 decision that people think about for weeks.
People ask about results, sessions, comfort and cost, then go home to think. Without follow-up, most never come back.
A bare lead form books people who want weight loss, not contouring, or can't afford a package. Your provider spends an hour on a consult that was never going to close.
Bigger discounts bring cheaper leads, but in our team's data they also lowered close and repeat rates. You fill the calendar with people who don't buy.
The numbers
Body contouring was 9% of the Meta spend in our team's dataset. Here is how it compared with the median across all treatments.

Cost per new patient is cost per lead divided by three rates: CPA = CPL / (booked x show x close). For body contouring that is $67.40 / (0.27 x 0.79 x 0.58), or about $545.
If the close rate rose from 58% to the all-treatment median of 71%, CPA would fall to about $445. To get the same drop from ads alone, you would need to cut cost per lead to about $55. Closing more of the consults you already paid for is usually easier than buying cheaper leads.
The same math answers the device question. At the median, each new patient brings a $2,400 first ticket against a $545 acquisition cost. Take out your treatment costs, then divide your monthly device payment by what is left. That is how many new patients a month the device needs to pay for itself.
Methodology: our team's data across 128 clinics and 186,400 leads, Jan 2024 to Jun 2026. Medians across clinics. Body contouring and all-treatment figures are "after" (months 4-6); "before" is a clinic's first 90 days. Before that work, the all-treatment median was $48.20 per lead, 18% booked, 61% show, 64% close and $688 CPA. Full method in our med spa speed-to-lead study.
The playbook
Instant forms with three qualifying questions (treatment area, timeline, budget comfort) lifted booked rates from 14% to 31% in our data. For body contouring, they also keep weight-loss shoppers off your provider's calendar.
A sequence for people who attended but didn't buy: a recap of their plan, answers to common objections and a check-in from the provider. It moved 30-day purchases from 8% to 21%, took about 3 hours to set up and added a median $18,900 in the first 90 days.
Lead with packages and monthly financing, not percent-off. Deeper discounts cut cost per lead by 12% but dropped close rates by 9 points and repeat rates by 14 points.
UGC and provider-on-camera ads cut cost per lead from $46.10 to $29.80 compared with polished stock creative.
Body contouring buyers often take weeks to decide. We retarget site visitors and video viewers with FAQs, session explainers and reviews, and send booked and paid consults back to Meta through the Conversions API. Offline events cut CPA from $214 to $171.
A no-show on a long consult costs you a provider hour. Reminders at 72, 24 and 2 hours lifted show rates from 61% to 78%. A deposit or card on file lifted them from 74% to 87%.
How we build it
We pull your cost per lead, booked, show and close rates for body contouring, so we know which part of the funnel is leaking.
Qualifying forms, a landing page with a booking calendar, an instant reply in under a minute, reminders, deposits and the unsold-consult sequence, all in GoHighLevel.
We run the ads, refresh creative, and report each month on consults booked, consults closed and cost per new patient, not clicks.
Ad rules
A short summary, not legal advice. Meta's health and wellness ad policy says:
We keep body contouring creative clear of the weight-loss patterns too, and check claims against your device maker's guidelines. CoolSculpting and Emsculpt are trademarks of their owners. We are not affiliated with either.
Where it fits
Body contouring sits at the top of the price range, so it works best next to treatments that bring patients in more cheaply. A patient who first came in through your Botox marketing or laser hair removal marketing already trusts you when contouring comes up. If you also run semaglutide marketing, keep the audiences and messages separate.
On Meta, the setup follows our med spa Facebook ads approach, and Google search catches people already comparing devices. Our med spa advertising page covers how we split budget across channels and treatments, including dermal filler marketing.
The follow-up runs in your med spa CRM, where the AI receptionist answers leads in seconds. Speed matters here too: leads answered in under a minute booked at 41%, against 9% after 4 to 24 hours. As a med spa marketing agency, we run the ads and the follow-up together, so one team owns the cost per new patient.
FAQ
It is the ads, landing pages and follow-up a med spa uses to sell treatments like CoolSculpting, Emsculpt and RF or laser lipo. Because these are high-ticket, slow decisions, good body contouring marketing focuses on consult quality and follow-up, not just lead volume.
The audience is smaller and the decision is bigger. In our team's data, the median body contouring lead on Meta cost $67.40, more than twice the $31.60 median across all treatments.
Target adults 18 and older, show the provider and the treatment on camera, use qualifying questions on the form, and retarget people who watched or visited. Avoid copy that attacks how someone looks, which Meta's policy does not allow.
Usually not. In our team's data, deeper discounts lowered cost per lead by 12% but cut close rates by 9 points and repeat rates by 14 points. We lead with packages and monthly financing instead of percent-off offers.
